Akira Yamanaka Architects (AYA) is a London-based architectural design studio founded by Akira Yamanaka, a RIBA chartered architect and a Certified Passive House Designer. Akira has extensive experience, especially in the fields of sustainable residential, educational, performing arts and community buildings.

The Tokyo-born architect graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 1997, and honed his expertise working with leading architectural practices in the UK for 17 years before establishing his eponymous practice.

AYA offers their design expertise with a design process incorporating the most advanced digital design technologies, hand sketching and skilful craftsmanship, to achieve functional, sustainable, aesthetic and economically viable design solutions.
